The African Centre for Media Excellence (ACME) invites qualified and experienced consultants to review and update its safeguarding policy. This assignment seeks to align the policy with ACME’s current operational realities, and provide a robust safeguarding framework for engagement with sub-grantees and other stakeholders.
The review is part of ACME’s commitment to institutional accountability and safeguarding standards, especially within the context of its role as the lead implementer of the four-year Media Support for Public Accountability and Civic Engagement in Uganda (M-SPACE) project. This initiative is being implemented with the Uganda Editors’ Guild, Uganda Media Women’s Association, and Uganda Radio Network.
Scope of work
The selected consultant will be expected to:
- Conduct a safeguarding risk assessment for ACME and the three consortium partners;
- Support the development and approval process of the updated safeguarding policy;
- Deliver orientation and training sessions on the new policy to ACME and consortium staff; and
- Document and report on all activities undertaken during the assignment.

Duration
The consultancy will be implemented between June and July 2025.
