This research brief by the African Centre for Media Excellence (ACME) is a preliminary study on how the media in Uganda perceives foreign malign influence.
The aim is to highlight efforts to strengthen the media’s ability to resist foreign malign information. The study sought to understand the knowledge and perceptions of media professionals regarding the strategies of foreign malign actors, including disinformation, misinformation and propaganda.
The study involved surveys and interviews with journalists and editors to gain insight into their views on foreign malign influence.
