What happened
Mr Joram Bintamanya an FDC leader from Fort Portal has been arrested. This comes after an outspoken speech he made on the continued injustices faced by Ugandans at the burial ceremony of a man named Sabiiti in Kabarole. In a press statement, FDC leadership expressed deep concern over the constant harassment and arrest of party members by the authorities.
“It is alarming to witness the unjust treatment of individuals who are merely exercising their right to freedom of speech and expressing their concerns about the injustices prevalent in our nation,” it read.
