WHAT HAPPENED
General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, a son of Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni, published a series of now-deleted tweets in which he threatened to “crush” journalists who “abuse” him and the ruling NRM government. His ire was directed at Daily Monitor, Uganda’s leading independent daily newspaper, whose journalists he accused of being terrorists that “have been abusing us forever”.
