Opposition party member arrested and charged with offensive communication


Teddy Nalubowa, a member of the opposition National Unity Platform, was charged in court with offensive communication two weeks after she went missing. Nalubowa, known by her social media profile name Tracy Manule Bobiholic, was arrested for her posts to Facebook and TikTok that spoke about the death of a long-time ally of President Museveni, General Elly Tumwine. Tumwine died of complications related to lung cancer in August. In the posts, Nalubowa wrote, “Tumwine finally you have died but you died long time (sic) and your boss President Museveni will also die. You will die one by one and we shall celebrate.
