On 13 April 2018, ACME hosted Mr Martín Abregú, the Ford Foundation vice president for democracy, justice, and free expression, and also responsible for Eastern Africa. Mr Abregú discussed freedom of expression issues with members of the ACME management team. He also interacted with civil society actors gathered at ACME to
discuss social justice and benefits-sharing in the extractive sector in Uganda. Ford is one of ACME’s current funding partners. The VP was accompanied by a team from the regional office in Nairobi led by its head, Mr Maurice Makoloo.
