Karamoja burns as trees smoulder one at a time

To many, Karamoja is a region of cattle keepers, and until recently, notorious for armed cattle rustling. But as Daily Monitor reporter NELSON WESONGA explores, a new economic activity – charcoal burning – is taking root in the region, with disastrous consequences.
