A report released by the African Centre for Media Excellence (ACME), indicates that Ugandan journalists performed poorly in interrogating the feasibility of promises made by presidential candidates.
The presidential campaigns have been full of promises by the eight candidates seeking to lead the country after next years polls. Many political observers and experts say some of these pledges are unattainable.
Peter Mwesige, a media analyst and Executive Director of ACME, says that whenever presidential candidates make campaign promises journalists should ask them, or even other experts, whether the claims can be achieved or not.
